Fall Creek Falls

Yep, I know what you are thinking and you are right, it's too early for our Fall Creek trip! Well, since Uncle Bart and Aunt Kara decided to go and get pregnant (not just pregnant, but pregnant with TWINS!) and are due in September, we decided to try to go to Fall Creek when the Holzer clan could come. We called Fall Creek this week to find an opening and they had one cabin - this weekend!! So, we took it! The weather wasn't the best - a bit cold and a little rainy - but we still had a blast.

1 year doctor's visit

Today was my one year check up! I weighed in at 18 pounds and 14 ounces, 13th percentile. I am 2 feet 5 inches tall, 47th percentile. For my vaccines and lead testing, I had to have three shots and my toe pricked. It was not fun!!! Boy was I upset! The nurse who took the blood from my toe said she really does not look forward to having to do that in 3 years (the next time I have to have it done) because I was so strong and put up such a good fight this time!! To top off the visit, I have an ear infection! Mommy thought I had one since I have not been sleeping and have been so cranky! Hopefully now I will start sleeping again! Lets just hope I don't have a reaction to this medicine!!

Birthday cake - part two!

Well, nobody ate my "1" birthday cake so mommy decided to let me destroy it! It was chocolate cake, so I didn't get to eat any of it. Mommy strategically gave it to me after lunch, so I really wasn't hungry and really enjoyed "playing" with it. I had a lot of fun!!!

Today, while daddy went fishing, mommy and I had a great "girls" day out! It's finally getting warm enough that we can spend more time outside and boy do I love the outside! First we played on our front porch with play-doh on my play-doh table. Then we walked to the local park to have fun on the swings. After that we went back home for lunch and naps. And then we met up with Uncle Bart, Aunt Kara, Zane and Annabeth for fun at the zoo! It was the first time I went into the playground area at the zoo. They have a whole area just for little bitty people just like me! It was so much fun, everything was soft and cushy. We played so much, the zoo kicked us out because they were closing! We then all ate dinner, where daddy met up with us, and then went home and crashed. What a great day!

My 1st Birthday - The Presents

Presents!!! I love presents!! Everyone got me great toys and clothes! It was so cold at the party, that we decided to take the presents back home to open. Meermaw, Granddaddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Bubba, Aunt Stacy, Kirsten, DJ, Uncle Bart, Zane and Annabeth all came back to the house to watch me open them! Elizabeth, Asher and Ava tried to come too, but Ava got sick and they had to go home. Zane was a big help getting my presents and watching me open them. We had loads of fun! The best part - CAKE! I didn't smash it like mommy and daddy thought I would, but I did put a big dent in it! It was yummy! (Mommy made my high chair cover, isn't it beautiful?!)

Almost forgot my crowns. I am the princess, after all, I need a crown...or two!
