I love to grab!

Look at how well I am using my hands now - I can grab things and play with some toys. It is so much fun. I love these things mommy calls my hands!

I giggled today - twice!

I busted out a giggle today, twice in a row for mom and dad. Yea!! They were so excited!! Mom was holding me and walking me towards dad. Dad was making faces and when I reached dad, I giggled. After the second giggle, mom and dad got out the video camera. That's when I decided to stop my show. Maybe someday soon they will catch me on video to share with everyone....

Meermaw's visit

Meermaw came to visit over Memorial Day. We had so much fun! She gave me a bottle and it was the first time she has ever given a baby a bottle. I drank it all down and coo'd just like a precious angel for her!

I love to toss my head back and forth when I'm sleeping in my crib and it has created a beautiful bald spot, well, bald line really.

Yes, I am always this stretched out! I love to stretch!! No matter when you hold me up, I straighten out like a board. I'm so tall all my clothes are almost too short for me - there's no slack in these pj's!

My First Shots - And my 2 month doctor's appointment

Well, I made it. My first round of shots. Today was my 2 month doctor's visit and all went pretty well. I weighed in at 10 pounds 13 ounces and am 24 inches long. Still long and lean - can you believe it?! The doctor said all is still looking great. I am growing well and healthy as can be! Yea! Mom did mention concerns with my hearing. I did pass my newborn screen, so there isn't too much concern. However, mom has noticed sometimes I don't respond to loud noises or voices. The doctor jiggled a toy beside me and I didn't respond. Then she slammed a cabinet door and I still didn't respond. Daddy was holding me, so there's a chance I was just very secure and not concerned with all those noises. Nonetheless, I am going to have my hearing tested at a specialist within the next two weeks to ease mommy's concerns. I'll let you know how that goes! My little worrysome mommy....

My visit ended with my vaccines. I got one oral vaccination and 3 shots. I think mom and dad reacted worse than I did!! The nurse let dad hold me and I did cry, well I wailed, but mom and dad quickly calmed me down. Here's an after shot with my cute bandaides:

I rolled over!

It's official this time, I rolled over last night in my crib!!! Mom woke up around midnight and thought I looked different on the monitor, so she went to check on me. She walked in my room and there I was - sound asleep ON MY BELLY! Of course mom immediately got every book she has out to see if she should leave me alone or flip me back over. None of them had any advise, all they said was I should roll over between 4 and 6 months. Since I'm only 2 months old, this just caused mom to worry even more that I was going to suffocate. After watching me sleep for an hour, dad told mom if she's going to be awake to flip me back over and if I wake up, I wake up. Well, I showed mom. She flipped me over and I woke up. Mom tried to feed me and put me back to bed, but I wouldn't have it. I was up until 4:30. Did I ever teach mom a lesson - Never touch a sleeping baby - I don't think she'll do that again! :)

Happy 1st Mother's Day Mommy!

Today is mommy's first Mother's Day. I think she had a great day! I made sure to be my usual perfect angel self. Daddy helped me make mommy a card with my handprint, footprint and buttprint (yes, you heard correct, buttprint - that was all daddy's idea...). He also helped me get her a dozen roses. I, myself, decided to start, on Friday night, sleeping 5 stretches between feedings. I think that was the best present I could get her! :) I love you mommy! Hope you had a great day!

I have been lifting my head really well lately. Oh, and to burst my bubble, mom is pretty sure the roll over is just a fluke (because of the cushy, slanted couch I'm on), but regardless, I did it. Look at me!

I went to cousin Dana's baby shower today (she is going to have my friend, Ezri, this summer and we are so excited!). Great Aunt Karen held me and I just laughed and laughed.

My first bottle

Well, today mom and dad decided to try my first bottle. And.....I took it like a champ! Sucked it right down. While mom and dad were really happy I wasn't finicky, mom felt a little sad she was so easily replaced. Here are some pics:

Happy Easter!!

Today is my first Easter and it was soooo much fun! I went to church with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Bart, Aunt Kara, Zane and Annabeth. After church we went out to eat and then back to Uncle Bart and Aunt Kara's house for naps, egg hunt and dinner. Mommy helped me find a few eggs, but Zane was able to snatch up most of them. It was so much fun! Here are some pics:
