My 1st Birthday - The Presents

Presents!!! I love presents!! Everyone got me great toys and clothes! It was so cold at the party, that we decided to take the presents back home to open. Meermaw, Granddaddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Bubba, Aunt Stacy, Kirsten, DJ, Uncle Bart, Zane and Annabeth all came back to the house to watch me open them! Elizabeth, Asher and Ava tried to come too, but Ava got sick and they had to go home. Zane was a big help getting my presents and watching me open them. We had loads of fun! Here are just a few of them:

My 1st Birthday - The Cake Eating

The best part - CAKE! I didn't smash it like mommy and daddy thought I would, but I did put a big dent in it! It was yummy! (Mommy made my high chair cover, isn't it beautiful?!)

Almost forgot my crowns. I am the princess, after all, I need a crown...or two!

My 1st Birthday - The Party

My party!! Well, it didn't rain and I wasn't sick, but it sure was cold today!! It's been near 70 degrees for two weeks, literally, until today! :( It didn't stop my party, though! And all my family and friends still made it. Mommy and daddy are so thankful for such great family and friends!! We celebrated my party at Granny White Park Pavilion. There was a big playground next door for all my friends to play on, and I swung a little too! It was lots of fun. My 1st Birthday - The Cake

My beautiful birthday cake, made by my daddy and meermaw. Daddy made the cake, did the white and pink icing, and platform. Meermaw did the flowers and greenery. It turned out so well! I also had a standby "1" cake that Meermaw decorated. It turned out good too!

I was taking a bath.... I love bath time so much! Lately I've started kicking/splashing. It is so much fun!! It gets water everywhere!

Birthday cake - test run...

Mommy found a cake she wanted to make for me for my first birthday and she wanted to make a test cake, just in case it didn't turn out so well. And, well, she's still sick and doesn't feel up to the trial run. :( So, daddy has decided to take over cake duty. Mommy only had a chocolate cake in the house, since she hasn't been able to get to the grocery store either, so that's what daddy used. Here he is:

Zoo with daddy

Today daddy had to take care of me ALL day ALL by himself. Mommy started getting sick last night, so she is in bed. Daddy decided to get me out of the germ infested house and go to the zoo! We had so much fun swinging and seeing all the animals. I love the zoo!!

Tooth number TWO!

Can it be??? I finally have my second tooth!!! Yea!! Mommy knew this one was coming in as I didn't sleep well and was pretty cranky this week. She was as glad as I was to see this tooth!!
