Chicago

Mommy was in meetings all day today, so daddy and I got to spend the day together. Boy was it was COLD!!! Mommy didn't think it would be so miserable! Daddy and I only stayed outside about a half an hour because daddy thought it was too cold for me (notice what daddy has me in...mommy brought me a hat, mittens, blankets....where are they?!). The rest of the day we were cooped up in the hotel.

Behind the trees, behind me, is a park with benches shaped in a circle and each a number, forming a clock.

Our hotel was right on the river. It was pretty. Mommy went on an Architecture Riverboat Cruise today on this river (for work, without us... :( but had lots of fun and learned a lot about the city).

My first flight!!!

Today mommy, daddy and I flew to Chicago! Mommy has a business trip, so she talked daddy and I into joining her (mainly for breastfeeding ease...). I was a superstar on the flight!! Here I am on the plane:

Meermaw and Granddaddy's visit

My meermaw and granddaddy came to visit me this weekend! Yea! I really missed my Granddaddy, can you tell??!!

You haven't seen me asleep in awhile

(probably because mommy now puts me in my crib awake...meanie!) Anyway, daddy likes to slip in holding me while I sleep. He was caught!

Today I had my first taste of baby food! Sweet potatoes! Ummm, they were....alright. Definitely not my favorite. I can't wait to try other foods! I think mommy was hoping I'd make a funny face, but nope...

Walden Farm

Today I went to Walden Farm with Uncle Bart, Aunt Kara, Zane, Annabeth, and Grammy Farwell. It was so much fun! There was a hayride, pumpkin pathes (of course!), a petting zoo, a man making balloon animals, face painting and lots of food! Mommy and I went on the hayride and through the pumpkin patches. Look, I found a pumpkin!

Daycare

Today I started daycare! I had loads of fun! So many new toys to play with and new babies to look at! I only went 1/2 day for everyone to try it out. It went really well. It was definitely easier on me than mommy and daddy! I start full time on Monday. We'll see how I do for a full day. We'll see if mommy is able to leave me there...

6 Months Old!!!

Today was my 6 month doctor's appointment. Fortunately, all is still perfect! :) I am slowing down a bit on my growth, but still plumping up just fine. I weighed in at 14 pounds, 14 ounces and am 2' 2" long. Because of flu season, I needed 4 shots and one oral vaccine with another flu shot (booster) in a month. So, today I had three of those shots and one oral vaccine. I will go back in a month for the second flu shot and last regular vaccine. I can't wait for these shots to be OVER!!! I sure don't like them! One of these days I am going to be able to tell mom and dad how much I don't like them!
