It's been awhile since my last update.... What am I doing now?

Let's see....

I love to swing - in a big girl swing.

I love to be outside and ride bikes, play in the water table and do anything outdoors!

I really, really love Tinkerbell, Dora, Diego, and Curious George.

I have a best friend at daycare - Trinity.  We get to play everyday. I look forward to swinging with her when mommy takes me to daycare.

I call all chocolate, "egg."  My first few pieces of chocolate were left overs from Easter and they were little egg shaped milk chocolate pieces...

I call flashlights, "sunshine."

I call Lucky Charms cereal, "rainbows."

Bad habits: I still use a paci and I still don't use the potty! BOO!

May I help with the dishes?

Mommy looks like she could use some help, so I thought I'd jump in.

Oh, wait, I'm really just playing in the water. I love to empty and fill cups and containers. I do love to scrub down the sink, which does help mommy "clean" a little....

Why should I eat dinner at the table???

Look at my new fishing pole (backpack with tackle box and sunglasses)!!! I love it!! Daddy took me outside and I practiced casting and reeling in the line. I do really well at it, although I like to go after the weighed fish (lure)....

I am so excited to be a big sister! I am not acting jealous at all and love to help mommy and daddy.  Here I am giving Evan his paci (even though he doesn't want it...):

I'm a big sister!!!

HE is here!! It's a boy!! I'm a big sister to a brother, Evan Charles! He was born late last night at 11:01pm weighing 10lbs 4ozs and 22in long.

I wasn't sure when I first met him...

But then I warmed up and touched his finger and cheek.

And we became a family of four!

Will I become a big sister today??

Mommy went into labor early this morning, so I went to Grandma and Grandpa's to wait on my baby sibling to be born. Everyone thought the baby would be here by late afternoon, so after naps, Grandma and Grandpa brought me up to the hospital. Since the baby was not born yet, daddy I and played in the room with mommy.

4th of July weekend

Well, my sibling was supposed to be born by this weekend, but he is being stubborn (like his daddy!).  So, we got to celebrate the 4th of July with friends and family.  I got to go to a birthday party on Saturday for Noah. It was at a park, and boy was it hot. They had a firetruck come, but I slept through it (darn naps!).  Then Monday we went to Noah's mom and dad's house and watched Providence's fireworks show.  I LOVED it!!!  Fireworks were going off everywhere and I kept pointing at them saying "'dis way!!!" trying to get mommy and daddy to see what I was seeing.  It was so much fun, but I was tired when we left it was so late!  We had a great 4th and can't wait for my baby sibling to arrive!

How to you sleep?

BIG girl room!

My new big girl room! I love it! The walls are purple. Mommy and daddy are still debating on which curtains they like (mommy likes the one on the right, while daddy the one on the left...). My sheets are Tinkerbell - that's my favorite part. I am sleeping great in my big bed and have only fallen out once.... :)

Swimming at Grandmas!!!

Today I got to go swimming with Annabeth and Zane at Grandma's. We had so much fun!!!

How about this one?

Everything I see, whether it is food or toy, I say "How 'bout dis one?!"  And switch to eating/playing with it.  It is absolutely adorable, if I do say so myself! :)

And right now, I love the baby! I kiss mommy's belly, pat mommy's belly, and push on mommy's belly. Basically, I'm already picking on my baby brother or sister! See:

What's new?

It has been too long since I've told you what I'm doing that's new!  Here's a short list....

I can say my ABC's all the way to "Z!!"  Sometimes I confuse "S" and "X," and I usually end the ABC song with "Now I know my ABCDEF (etc)."  I don't quite get the "next time won't you sing with me." :)

I can count to 11.

I talk really well and clear. And I say complete sentences.  My conversation with mommy tonight went like this: "Where's my monkey?" Mommy said "Your monkey?" I said, "I don't know where he is." Mommy said "I don't know either." And I said "Lets find him."

Another conversation the other morning went like this:  Mommy asked, "What would you like for breakfast?" (as we are walking into the kitchen)  I spot a bag of Cheetos and say, "Cheetos and ice cream!"  Clearly mommy is pregnant and clearly I get my cravings from her! :)  Mommy, for all my cuteness, surrendered to a frozen yogurt pop for breakfast (she freezes my yogurts and they are yummy that way!)!

I love Dora, Elmo, Dinosaur Train, Thomas the Train, and princesses. I love to play dress up, play with my dolls and barbies and my little ponies, play with my choo-choo trains and paint/draw/color. I love to go outside and swing, slide, play in the sand, go on wagon/stroller rides, draw with chalk and swim.

I sit on the potty and try to use it.  I have had a couple successes, but overall I just read and draw.  Hopefully one day I'll be potty trained! :) Mommy isn't pushing me, maybe after the new baby arrives and we've all adjusted, we'll really start the potty training.

I now sleep in my big girl bed (a full size bed that my crib/toddler bed converted to). I still have my paci....

Swimming!

For the first time this year we went swimming in our pool at home!!  Yea!  Daddy got in the pool, but mommy thought it was too cold.  I decided I wanted to try it, so she thought, why not.  Turns out, I loved it - not too cold at all!!  What a difference a year makes!  Last year I would have cried to get out immediately!  She didn't bring the camera, thinking I'd last 2 minutes, so no pictures on this post, but I did have a blast! :)
